Want to perform at the 2013 Ventura Comedy Festival?  Comedians will be compensated with valuable exposure, an opportunity to perform among comedy legends, and a wonderful chance to network!

Bad Girls, Black Friday, Clean Comedy, Dirty Dozen, International Comedy, Jews Gone Wild, Latino Comedy, Rainbow Night,  TV Showcase.

Ventura’s Funniest Person Comedy Competition:
Preliminary rounds are Sundays in September 2013 at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club, 7pm. Judges choose comedians from each preliminary round to send a total of 36 people to the three semi-final rounds held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the festival. Judges will choose the three best comedians from each of semi-final contests and one judge’s pick (ten total) to send to the Sunday final contest. Ventura’s Funniest Person will receive a cash prize, comedy bookings at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club, J.R.’s Comedy Club, and much more!
 
It is free to submit yourself for a showcase in the festival, but there is no guarantee of selection.  However, everyone is invited to compete for Ventura’s Funniest Person, there is a non-refundable $25 entry fee  if you wish to compete, (you do not need to pay $25 if you do not want to be apart of the competition) please make checks payable to “The Ventura Comedy Festival” and mail to:
